Does anyone know how to fix the IP stack on computers running XP that have been rid of Malware? We primarily use Malwarebytes which seems to
do a good job of cleaning computers of this scourge, but lately, severalhave been returned after cleanup with the IP stack broken. We have tried
a number of things to get it to work, but no luck. I am not even sure which malware is killing it, but it is becoming a
bigger problem for us. I am sure there are differing opinions on how best to remove malware and what product to use. Perhaps some other product would not kill IP or
maybe the malware replaces the OS IP stack, so when you remove themalware, IP goes away with it. We don't like to put much more than 1 hour into repair/removal before
reloading the box. However, when this occurs, we end up with about 2.5 hours invested and ultimately an unhappy client because their computer has been slicked.
Any ideas?
