hi Guys,
Should be a quick one; and i'm beating my head against a desk here because I had this problem once before about 3 years ago and I can't remember how I fixed it!
Basically, I have been asked to install a BES server for a company as a member server. All is up and running; apart from the fact the users can't send.
The problem was, I needed to add a 'send as' permission to the security tab of the relevant users' AD accounts. i duly did so; but this disappears a few minutes later! The 'allow inheritable properties' wasn't clicked either, so I added a tick to that and then set the send as permission on the OU to see if I could get that to take. Unfortunately, the 'allow inheritable' tick I added just disappears along with the inherited permission.
I can't remember why it is that these security settings are overwritten. There are no 'deny' properties set; and as I said before; these accounts aren't inheriting from elsewhere.
The setup is Server 2003 for both the AD, Exchange and BES (all on separate hardware).
Please help!
